On 1,600+ acre Presque Isle chain of lakes. Western exposure directly on the water. Part of Alpine Resort, a historic resort located directly on Van Vliet lake, part of the Presque Isle Chain of 3 lakes. The cabin faces west for sunsets and prevailing winds to keep the bugs away. Pristine lakes, abundant wooded areas, prime fishing, swimming, free non-motorized boats and rental motor boats available, biking, and lots of local attractions. This is the Balsams cabin. Free use of non-motorized boats. Rental boats available with advance reservation for an additional fee. There are also 1, 2, and 4 bedroom cabins available.

The cabin is part of Alpine Resort in Presque Isle, Wisconsin and shares all of the common areas. There are 3 kayaks, a standup paddleboard, 2 paddleboats and a canoe free of charge to use. We also have boats for rent for an additional fee and meal plans that may be purchased in advance, as described on our website, and paid for at the resort. The front yard area has a playground, campfire area, and an excellent swimming area with swim raft, all with a western exposure on the main lake, not in a weedy bay! The front yard as multiple chairs and outdoor furniture for everyone to use.

All cabins are non-smoking and pets are not allowed. We supply bed linens, septic safe toilet paper, dishwasher pellets, dish soap, coffee filters and garbage bags. You must bring kitchen and bathroom towels and beach towels. A suggested packing list is available upon request or by calling the resort.

The fully-stocked kitchen comes complete with full size appliances. The Living Room has satellite TV.

Bedroom configuration - There is one bedroom with the king-size bed that faces the lake on both the west and north sides. Another bedroom has two twins and a twin size futon for a small child. The third bedroom has 2 twins and an ensuite bathroom. The unit sleeps maximum six (adults or children) and one more child if small enough to sleep on little futon.

Oother cabins are available for large or smaller groups. The cabin rents Sunday to Sunday during the summer season and is available for less than a week in the spring and fall.
